While on firefighting duty in glasgow during the firemans strike in 1977 my mate was attending a fire. everybody was doing there job ok when an officer decided to interfere. "Is the fire out" he shouted. a young glasgow lad looked at the offficer and said "hey jimmy whit rank ur you?" "i am a captain" replied the officer. "fuckin hell" said the young lad "abandon ship!"
