No 2 Fields Malta Song

This is my island in the sun
Subsidised by the Englishman
Who guarded it from the Hun
From Marsa ridge down to Marsasloxx
It’s nothing but a heap of that limestone rock

I see women down Kingsway
They walk there by night and day
Most of them in the family way
Don’t think their men are wimps
For they are nothing but a load of pimps

You’ll find sailors down the Gut
Consorting with a load of sluts
Getting sloshed on Marsovin wine
It is cheap at a nine p a bottle
But it rots your guts

You can also have some
Maltese beer called Chisk
20 bottles leaves you feeling frisky
But don’t go trying to pull a Bint
With what they have got it’s bloody risky
