 I am Karen, Pat's daughter and am trying to find any information about his time in the Canal Zone.  My Mum (Ada) & sister (Wendy) were both in Egypt with
my Dad.  He was a Colour Sergeant  with the 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.  He talked about his time there often, but I would love to hear from anyone
who remembers him.  
I have many photos taken out there and the  people he mentions in the album are: Bert & Olive, Jerry & Ginger (Ginger is a dog!!), Legs, Smudger, Jerry (Darkie?) Webb and Mrs Webb, Dusty Miller, Nick, Tasty, Jack, L/Cpl Moule and Mrs Moule with daughter Pat, Mrs Fleet with children Jimmy and David, Jimmy 'Cracker' Smith, Mrs Spencer, Padre Price, Teddy Leach, Capt. Jorgensen and Jack.  I am particularly keen to contact Jerry Webb and his wife Ella if anyone can help!
Places mentioned are: Timsah, Port Tewfick, Suez, Moascar, Ataka, Hodgson Camp, Aqaba and a children's party at the Crusader Club.

 Some lads I served with R.J.Tipping ( Bedfordshire ) E. Marshall, J. C. Baker (Lincolshire) J. Small (Sussex) B. Jowle, G. Rushforth, B. Houston, J. Sykes (all from Yorkshire) R. McLean ( Worcester. ) Some of these flew out with me special draft to Cyprus before being transfered to TEK due to usual army organisational cockups. Would like to hear from anyone who is still alive who remembers me? Would like pictures of TEK and any of the troopship 'Empire Fowey'.
When checking my official service record any mention of Middle East service is omitted suggest others check official records!

 Yes, it was a crummy place to have to spend 30 months of ones young life. We were told we were on 'active' sevice, our firearms were as much a part of us, as was our tool boxes.

 My name is Lee Ogden, son of Kenneth James Ogden. I am filling this form as my father died in April 1986. I do not know properly where he served but I have photos from when he was there with his mates named, Ken Adbin, McFarland, Sibald, McEwen, Meldrum, Ken Graham, Steers, Eric Pratt, Lou, Mal (1954).
There are also photos in the Sinai Desert, St Catherins, Port Said, and other various places from 1952 to 1955.
