The Graves of those who died in the service of Queen and Country
Any  serviceman killed on Active Service in the Suez Canal Zone in the early fifties during the "Emergency" was buried in one of the following Cemeteries

1) Cairo-New British Protestant Cemetery
2) Fayid War Cemetery
3) Moascar  War cemetery
4) Port Said Military Cemetary

The following Photograph  ( click to enlarge ) was forwarded to this Web-site by a British person living in Egypt.  It is of Fayid War Cemetery and shows rows of neat well kept graves, beautifully laid out ,and well marked,. Unfortunately we couldn't obtain photos of  the other two Cemeteries.  After much thought out of respect for those who gave their lives, so that Traffic would flow freely through the Suez Canal, we decided to print this photograph, to honour those  who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
