Dear Mum,
 Here are a couple of comrades just relaxing in the Officers Mess at Defa. We have all the comforts of home and you would really enjoy the natural stone decor. I was thinking of forwarding this to "Homes and Gardens" but I thought perhaps it was a bit too upscale and would give folks the impression that we are just living in too much luxury at the taxpayers expense.
