The arrival
of helicopters also assisted greatly in those areas inaccessible to the
Skyvan. Previously we had had to parachute supplies in to some locations.
The Imperial Iranian Air Force came to Oman for a while prior to the ousting
of the Shah of Iran. When the Ayaatollas took over I believe the vast majority
of the Iranian Air Force Officers were executed
