General 
Information
Awarded by the Malaysian Government, the PJM is awarded for service during the second confronation being of 90 days of active military operations or support personnel serving for six months between 31st August 1957 to 12th August 1966.
Additionally six months of service in Singapore prior to indepedence (9th August 1965).
Defined geographical boundaries are: The land area of Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, operations at sea in support of forces involved in the confrontation, or air force units based in Malaysia for the same period as mentioned above.
The PJM was announced by the Malaysian Government in November 2004.
Description
A circular silver medal 36mm in diameter. The Obverse of the medal shows the crest of Malaysia above the inscription JASA MALAYSIA.
The Reserve of the Medal shows a map of Malaysia with the initial P.J.M. beneath.
Ribbon
A central stripe of red, flanked on either side by two strips of blue and the ribbon edged with a third stripe of yellow.
