In Memory of  RM14414  Marine  Peter John "Sticks" Rogers,
3rd Royal Marine Commando
My father was Peter John Rogers RM14414 ,who served with the 3rd Royal Marine Commando in late 50's and early 60's(1952-64?).

He served in a number of marine commando units such as "40","42" and "45" commando during the Suez crisis 1956. He was affectionately known as "Sticks", I guess that was due to him being a bugler/drummer.

He also made  journeys on H.M.T. Dunera and H.M.S. Parapet 1960. Also served on HMY Britannia. He has sadly recently passed away (Jan 26th 2006)  through ill health. He was a wonderful Dad who gave his children everything.

He will be sadly missed but knowing he will be reunited with his wife again gives us all some comfort.
