Jambiya

Known I believe, as a 'Jambiya.'  It is not an expensive one. I am not sure
what the handle is made from, maybe it is plain bone? Some were made from rhino horn!! There is also a little bit of what looks like silver decoration on the handle.  I bought the dagger in 1966, in the area of Habilyn from a labourer in the workshop.  Although it was customary to wear one in Yemen, I never ever saw one being worn in the city of Aden, nor its immediate surroundings. Maybe the British forbid it?
