Royal Air Force Katunayake RAF Katunayake formerly known as RAF Negombo was built by the British in the mid 1940's to replace their  lost airfields in Pakistan and India. Kat was conveniently situated twixt Aden and Singapore to serve the continuing need of supplying its vast Empire particularly so in the Far East and was used as a staging post to rest crews and passengers of aircraft in transit.

RAF Lyneham Home to the RAF's fleet of 55 C130 Hercules aircraft, RAF Lyneham is a part of Number 38 Group within the RAF's Strike Command.

The R.A.F. Regiment  A very brief  history Since 1945 the size of the R.A.F. Regiment has shrunk, but it's commitments have remained as varied and as widespread as ever. Elements of the R.A.F. Regiment have been present at every conflict involving the British Armed Forces. Some examples are: Palestine, Suez, Kenya, Malaya, Cyprus, Borneo, Aden, Oman, N. Ireland, The  Falklands and more recently The Persian Gulf.

Rockapes Return is an RAF Regiment all years reunion, taking place on 14th February 2004 at The Angel Catterick village Yorkshire
