Site News    January 2010

This month we have additions to our Northern Ireland sections.

We are sad to announce that the website has lost one of our staff, David Carter a long-time contributor and well-known Cyprus authority died on 18th December 2009. David was hugely helpful to the website and a source of knowledge on the cyprus conflict that will be sorely missed. Our condolences and thoughts go out to his family.
We have opened a guestbook in Davids' memory and invite anyone to sign the book, The book can be found on the Cyprus Index.

This month we celebrate 11 years of our presence on the web, we have a new logo on the front page of which their are several variations. Other variations will appear, we are looking for a Royal Navy image to create an RN themed logo, if anyone has any pictures they would like to submit for possible use, please email james@britains-smallwars.com

The Veterans section has been updated with a new petition for an Investigation into the 1949 Yangtze campaign medal awards system, if you would like to sign the petition please follow the link ; Veterans Affairs,

Poppy Appeal 2009

As usual, please submit any stories via the Your Story page.

As always, Vietnams' Rumour Control and the book reviews are ongoing and are usually updated weekly.
