Cover Notes
"Memories of National Service unite some two million individuals who, between 1945 and 1963, were forced to abandon their civilian existences and spend up to two years serving as soldiers, sailors and airman in the colours of their monarch."

"Too young to vote, but old enough to kill and be killed, these legions of fresh-faced 18-year-olds were conscripted in the wake of the Second World War to oversee the dismantling of an empire and to garrison West Germany in the lowered temperatures of the Cold War."

Reviews

Soldier H rated this book Excellent
I served with "paul" during his time in Ulster, although i can honestly say i was not at the sharp end as much as he was. He was a cheeky chappy to say the least but i must admitt he writes a good book. Fair enough some of it belongs in a fiction story but we won't go into that.
